Hi I'm Scotti!

I'm your new Empowerment Advisor and Mentor, helping altruistic professionals like you recalibrate how you derive meaning and purpose in life, in a time when staying hopeful and positive seems nearly impossible. 

The first thing to know about me is I'm an Applied Organizational Psychologist and Corporate Ex-pat who specialized in cross-functional team leadership, but burned out on big egos and and short-sighted cultures that didn't foster TRUE innovation, collaboration, or creativity. The value of the individual was always about what they could do for executives, not what they could do to move the needle for a cause.

So I took my Organizational Psych degree and went into private practice because I believed that since I was continuously going to be barred from effective team leadership, the best thing I could do for individuals was begin teaching self-leadership.

I guarantee you there are people who will argue we're living in the worst time in history, but to that I would say, whether or not we are is negligible. Right now is OUR TIME in history, and just like at any other time, it is up to us as individuals to each make something of it. 

My mission and purpose with Slow Living Solutions is to help you do just that. I'm here to help you reclaim your agency, re-establish your self-efficacy, and start spending your time [more] wisely-- because you only get so much of it and you never know when the bank account is going to run dry. You can love what you do or hate what you do, but your career, like anything else, should not be taking any more from you than it gives.

Slow Living is the philosophy of living with Intention. Life Crafting is the practice of doing so. It has taught me to focus on processes rather than outcomes; build structure to unlock freedom; and to apply effort in proportion to purpose.

My signature program, THE EMPOWERMENT METHOD™ uses behavioral psychology and change management research to take you from being lost in stress, anxiety, uncertainty, and overwhelm, to confident, in control, empowered, and in charge of your time. ​

It is a choice to be governed; governed by your emotions, your fears, your employer, your relationships, your government. CHOICE is an act of free will that entities of power are actively working to make you forfeit. Together, we're going to take back what was always rightfully yours: YOUR LIFE.

What you want to make of yourself is up to you, but you were put on this earth with purpose and something special to contribute. I work to pull that out of you and bring it to the forefront; where you can actively do something with it.

I lost my father to pancreatic cancer in 2022, after his 30+ year career as a Lieutenant for Wisconsin’s Milwaukee Fire Department. You may even be familiar with how loss changes your perspective on life.

 

Having promised him that the greatest way to honor him would be to live with honor, I've dedicated my psychology and change management practice to helping individuals craft their lives for better fulfillment and greater well-being, from a little blue farmhouse in the Shenandoah Valley; modeling for my clients how to cultivate the courage to live the life that they want.​

🐌 I body build and I power lift. This is my practice of personal devotion.

🐌 If I'm not at home or in the gym, I'm walking my dog. If you're local, you know he's a celebrity. 

🐌 I'm an INTJ, Enneagram 8 Wing 7, Sagittarius Sun, Taurus Moon, Gemini Rising, Human Design Projector. If that sounds like gibberish to you, you're in for a treat 😏

🐌 I'm Cat and Dog Mom to Simon and Garfie respectively. If you don't know the reference, I question our friendship.

🐌 Yes I believe in expensive throw pillows.

🐌 I love to cook, support local, and upgrade my historic farmhouse.
